We aim to provide a service and where possible we seek to accommodate your schedule when arranging your visits and treatment. A full diagnosis and treatment is possible within 1-2 visits:
1st Visit – Assessment and Treatment
Our staff are available on the phone weekdays 9:00am-5:30pm to answer questions and can offer fast appointments, often on the same day.
During your first appointment with Mr. Nazir you will review your medical history and conduct a thorough assessment of your foot condition. X-rays will also be performed on the day of the consultation.
If medical imaging is required we are normally able to schedule these on the same day as your first appointment. At our centre we have on site MRI, x-ray, ultrasound, CT and lower extremities MRI scanners.
Based on Mr. Nazir’s findings he will recommend a treatment plan. If your Bunion is at the early stages he may recommend conservative measures to relieve symptoms and prevent a fast progression.
If Mr. Nazir recommends surgical treatment and you wish to book your surgery date within 3 weeks of your first visit, then a preoperative assessment can be carried out within this first visit.
If Mr. Nazir recommends surgical treatment of your Bunion issue we are normally able to offer you a surgery date within 2-3 weeks of your first visit.
2nd Visit – Surgery
You will need to arrive at least one hour early for the procedure and nurses can prepare you.
Surgery can take up to one hour per foot, although the average time is 30-45 minutes.
After surgery you will be monitored by staff while you rest.
After recovery you will rest in your room and can expect to be discharged 1-2 hours after recovery. During this time a physiotherapist will show you how to use crutches. You may need to eat before leaving.
You will be provided with medication, including painkillers, anticoagulants and DVT socks.
These stages are often customisable and it is possible to adapt to the needs of your schedule. If you wanted more information about how our service can match your timetable, please get in touch, via: 0207 820 8007.
